New Music Alert | Tweet: Charlene

So can I just share with you the fact that so many underrated music artists usually tend to be favorites of mine? Take this songwriter/songstress, Charlene Keys— aka Tweet for example. In the 90s she delivered sultry hooks on the albums of artists like Timberland, Missy Elliot and others. But it was 2002 when the soul bird delivered a masterpiece in Southern Hummingbird–a 16 track album laced with soulful vocals over superb production, to which the artist herself helped to produce. Fourteen years later and Southern Hummingbird still gets major play around my way. It’s a classic. A breath of fresh air. A masterpiece. After a industry sabbatical, she’s back with her fourth album Charlene—a self reflection of her personal, professional and emotional evolution. Teaming up with longtime producers Craig Brockman, Nisan Stewart, John Smith, and others, I’m hopeful that this fourth project will meet the expectations of her fans. Myself included. The album is available 2.26.16.
