Recipe: Keto Cheesecake

Keto Cheesecake Recipe - Fashionably Fab
One month in and ten pounds down. I've been on this ketogenic diet for a little over a month now and it hasn't been easy. From sugar withdrawals, fatigue and limited food options---this keto journey didn't come without struggle.  But one positive aspect of this journey has been recognizing just how much I was addicted to sugar and just how prevalent sugar is in the foods the we eat. Sugar is practically in every single thing. Like everything. Like salted peanuts. Like what? Hence why obesity and poor nutrition has become an epidemic. Sugar is forbidden on the keto diet and as a lover of all things sweet, I had to find a few tasty dessert options. Here is my...

Fab Eats: Sopapillas . Franklin, TN

Sopapilla | so·pai·pil·la | noun: a deep-fried pastry, typically square, eaten with honey or sugar or as a bread. When I stopped in to the popular establishment, located in the posh Franklin neighborhood, an upscale suburb of Nashville---I was in for a treat. I'm usually not the Tex-Mex kinda  girl, but when I saw loads of seafood options on the menu I decided to give it a go. With an extensive menu sure to please meat eaters, vegans to vegetarians alike; Sopaillas is certainly a must try if you're ever in the area. It was also my very first time trying a sopapilla. It's basically fried dough served with a side of honey. Nothing really memorable about it, but nonetheless---it...

Fab Recipe: Cornbread Stuffing Muffins

I was raised cooking in the kitchen from a very early age so as an adult, those traditions have carried on into adulthood. This recipe is perfect because it takes the place of both cornbread and dressing. Two southern classics. It's a must-have for me during the holidays.   Required Ingredients: Cornbread | Chicken Stock | Sweet Vidalia Onion| Celery | Sweet Peppers | Thyme | Boiled Egg | Green Onion Preparation: I typically chop all vegetable ingredients up and stuff them in my whole chicken and/or turkey then bake. This will cook the vegetables and create a natural chicken stock. Cook cornbread as you normally would. I prefer my cornbread to be on the sweeter side. 1. Combine entire cornbread, chopped boiled eggs (use...

6 Amazing White Wines

I love a great bottle of white wine. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about reds. My taste palate simply can't tolerate reds. Well, at least I haven't found the right one. I know there have been countless studies that stresses multiple benefits to drinking reds over any other type. But until my taste buds can agree with a fabulous choice of  Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon, I'll simply just have to stick to my usual. I pretty much enjoy many sweet or dry wines more with a preference for still over bubbly. Many of my Friday nights involve one of these bottles and my favorite show on Netflix (what a life right? LOL). Since the holiday season is upon us,...
