5 International Travel Safety Tips

Best Travel Safety Tips
A few weeks ago, I traveled to Costa Rica around the same time that news broke of Carla Stefaniak, the missing Florida woman who was sadly found murdered a few days later by a suspected security guard. That situation shook me to the core for a multitude of reasons and reminded me just how vulnerable we are as women, and how we should never take travel safety lightly. As a Business IT Consultant, through the years I've had my fair share of solo travel. And while liberating--it at times came with a heighten sense of vulnerability. Truth be told, as women--we must move differently. We can never let our guard down. And so, with that said---here are 5 international travel safety...

Fab Eats: The Main Course Tampa

By now you know that I'm about that #foodie life. And nothing brings more exuberance than finding a new restaurant spot with great food. When I stopped in at the new historic West Tampa restaurant--Main Course Tampa-- during their grand opening week, it was abundantly clear that the restaurant had staying power. A chic and intimate space offering creative culinary specialties like seafood french fries, Hennessy chicken wings, donut burgers and lobster and waffles--the  rotating menu does not disappoint. Now that the...

Designer Essence Flowers: Tampa Bay Fashion Week 2018

Tampa Bay Fashion Week wrapped up its annual fashion show September 19-22, 2018 at the International Plaza at Bay Street. It was important for me to attend this year's show in support of my creatively talented friend and designer, Essence Flowers. The Haines City native presented a 13 piece collection ranging from ready-to-wear casuals to high-fashion couture. We witnessed a collection filled with creative variety including techniques and craftsmanship like draping, embroidery, pleating and appliques. There were pieces for every occasion. From date night, girls night out, prom, cocktail hour or the Grammy's. While it's hard for me to choose a favorite, there were many that stood out. The gray finale piece, the blush pink pant set, the black fringe...
