Q: Did you go to school for Fashion?
A: I did not attend Fashion School.
Q: What inspired you to become a fashion designer?
A: I have always loved making handcrafted gifts for others. I think that when you take time to make something for someone it shows that you really care. I became inspired to take designing seriously after taking classes about sewing leather. I was instantly hooked and haven’t looked back.
Q: Where do you find inspiration for your designs?
A: I find inspiration everywhere. In a leaf on the ground or the clean lines of a building. A smell or sound can trigger a thought for a design. I’m inspired by other designers as well . It’s also as if an image just pops into my mind sometimes.
Q: Describe the woman who embodies the Allee Long brand of fashion?
A: The woman that embodies Allee Long is one that stands out in a crowd. She is self assured and confident. She is unique and dares to be different. The Allee Long woman loves a good accessory and knows it can make an outfit. She isn’t satisfied with mass produced products, and appreciates the artistry of a well handcrafted handbag , belt, bracelet, etc.
Q: What is your vision for the Allee Long brand?
A: My vision for the brand is to continue to produce high quality products. I would love to see the brand in boutiques around the world in the coming years. It is my desire that when you hear the name Allee Long that you think of quality, unique, and beautiful handcrafted accessories.
