Fab 5 Online Consignment Boutiques

I love a good consignment boutique; but the best of the best can sometimes be out of reach if we don’t live in close proximity to them. Many brick and
mortar shops are starting to capitalize on broader accessibility by
tapping into the online market, a smart move in my opinion. Today, you are in luck because I am sharing my fab five online consignment boutiques with you. Consignment boutique; similar to thrift stores, but differs in a sense due to the high-end luxury brands that they carry for resale. Many consignment boutiques may also carry out-of-season retail items new with tags at discounted prices as well. They are my go-to place when I have the urge to find fabulous luxury pieces at budget fashionista prices—because let’s face it, you simply don’t have to break the bank to look fabulous. I find great pleasure in scouring the consignment universe for fabulous vintage and designer items at exceptional steals. If you are like me, where finding awesomely fabulous finds on a budget soothes your soul as well as your wallet; then thrift or consignment boutique shopping is certainly for you. If high end designer labels at retail price are out of your budget then consignment shopping could certainly be a great alternative to explore. While thrifting or consignment shopping isn’t for everyone, if you have patience and are willing to leave any preconceived notions behind—-you can walk away with fabulous fashion finds.  Check out my favorite 5 online consignment boutiques below. So what are some of your favorite online consignment shops?
  1. Beacon’s Closet – A favorite for many New Yorkers. Becaon’s Closet has been around for years and is certainly one of my absolute favorite places to scour the web for great designer finds. I scored these fabulous brand spanking new Michael Kors pumps for $25. The original price? Wait for it……$325. Check them out here.
  2. Mosh Posh – A local favorite in the Tampa Bay area. Mosh Posh is family owned and operated and carries some of the most luxurious items found at your local
Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus or Saks 5th. I have yet to visit their brick and mortar location, but I plan to in the near future. I had my eyes set on a fabulous black and white Coley and Forina bag but I didn’t move on it quick enough and within a blink of an eye it was gone (wipes away the tears). Oh well…you know what they say…you snooze, you lose. Check out Mosh Posh here.
  3. Couture Designer Resale Boutique – Another favorite to the Tampa Bay area. This fabulous spot is located in the trendy West Chase community. I recently stumbled upon this little chic hidden treasure while dining at a restaurant in the area. I had the pleasure of chatting with the owner Cathrine who has the cutest French accent and a warm personality to match. I purchased this  fabulous Akris Punto blazer and Max Mara blouse there a couple months back. If you are not familiar with the brand Akris Punto, let’s just say that this blazer fresh off of a retail rack would have cost me a couple hundred dollars…..I scored it for $60. Check them out here.
  4. Fresh Threads Consignment Boutique – Another favorite spot of mine. I have purchased countless items from this spot. I do mean countless. If you are local to the Tampa area, I recommend that you stop in and pay them a visit. I have scored some of the cutest finds at this spot. Not to mention that the owner Juli is such a sweet heart and is an absolute pleasure to see while on my shopping spree. I scored this fabulous Alberto Makali silk dress there sometime back. Check them out here.
  5. Consign of the Times – This Miami-base shop has plenty to offer. A favorite among Miami budget fashionistas, Consign of the Times features high-end luxury brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Prada, Gucci, Fendi, Chloe, Bottega Veneta, Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin and many more. One requirement for me each time I visit the MIA is to stop in and check out the great selection that they have to offer. I never manage to leave empty handed. Check them out here.

“The whole thing of clothes is insane. You can spend a dollar on a jacket in a thrift store. And you can spend a thousand dollars on a jacket in a shop. And if you saw those two jackets walking down the street, you probably wouldn’t know which was which.”
