Let it be known, it is by no coincidence that high-end fashion powerhouse designers like Phillip Lim, Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, Missoni, Issa, L’Wren Scott, Preen and Isabel Marant are collaborating with budget-friendly fashion retailers like Target, H&M and Aldo. With a new global economy, and the emergence of the ever growing thrifting phenomenon; fashion designers are tapping into a market share far beyond their traditional exclusive consumers who scour the racks at luxury department stores like Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys. Albeit, powerhouse brands mainly design and manufacture garments far beyond a price point obtainable by the everyday fashionista; however, the recent designer-to-retail collaborations are indicative of a long lasting trend towards new beginnings. The drive? The undeniable demand for budget friendly and affordable fashion; which many top fashion designers and retail giants have taken notice to. Yes! You’ve spoken and they’ve listened. Never underestimate the power of smart consumerism. The basics of economics: supply and demand. The latest designer to take notice? London fashion powerhouse Peter Pilotto, known for their bold and colorful prints; the signature trademark of the designer’s distinctive style. The collaborative collection hits Target stores on February 9th at an affordable price point ranging from $14.99-$79.99. The collection will also be available internationally at Net-A-Porter. So…will you be checking for this collection at your local Target stores?
“Our brand is about print, yes, but it’s also about the emotional
feeling you can get from color & color combinations.”

#Yaaasss I'm loving it! Can't wait until Feb 9 so I can I just put my hands on it!
Vik….My eye is on that blazer honey. I wants that!!!
I'm usually really excited about the Target designer collaborations but this one is underwhelming to me. I don't know if it's the prints or the small selection of silhouettes. I can't put my finger on it.
Hey Toya…girl, it's right up my alley. Love the colors and boldness. That jacket is #1 on my list though.
Target is about to get all my spending money lol
Don't give it all to them girl…LOL. No, but seriously. All these designer collabos is a great and smart thing for Target.
Very talented designer. Fun pieces. Target does the best collabs and this will be successful just like the others.

The pieces are definitely fun. Just in time for spring.
I have my eye on two of the dresses and the blazer but that's about it. I'm looking forward to seeing who will be next to collaborate with Target.
Me too hun. That blazer is certainly at the top of my list. xoxo
I love this collabo – the prints is off the hook. Very eye catching. I scored one of the strapless dress. Great post.
