With the summer months in full swing. Nothing says summer than the color white. It’s the perfect neutralizer to all of the colors we will be rocking this season. Here are 5 fabulous all white essentials that I need this season and why. So yes, I will be getting my Lisa Raye on this summer because we all know, nobody does all white like Lisa Raye. LOL. So…what is your favorite white clothing or accessory item?
- White Sandals– I plan on rocking lots and I do mean lots of color this summer season. But then again, what’s new right? LOL. I remember when white shoes were almost a fashion faux pas. Today, many women are embracing white footwear like never before. I have always been fond of white shoes as they are the perfect way to neutralize busy prints and colors worn in the spring and summer months.
- White Handbag – Just like the perfect pair of blanc sandals, an awesome white handbag serves the same purpose. One of my favorite combination is to rock all white accessories with bold colors for the summer. Try a white tank, a pair of jeans, a stack of layered white pearls and some killer heels. Bloop!
- White Blazer – If you plan on rocking lots of short-shorts this summer, having a white blazer on hand will come in handy. If you follow the one exposure rule like I do and you are going to show lots of legs this summer, having a fabulous white blazer on deck will be a great option to cover your top half. Nothing says grown and sexy like a fabulous pair of shorts, fab tee, a pair of killer heels and a blazer.
- White Shift Dress – As a woman who only stands at 5’4″ tall, I can’t tell you how much love I have for the shift dress. Made notable by fashion greats like Hubert de Givenchy and Lily Pulitzer in the swinging 60s, the silhouette of the shift dress works extremely well on practically any body type. I plan on making a fabulous white pair as well as several Lily Pulitzer inspired ones this summer.
- White Gladiator Sunnies – White sunnies are most certainly not for the fashion conservative types. They are bold, they speak confidence and they certainly make a statement. Whether you are rocking a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers, Marc Jacob or a pair from the sunglasses guy at your local mall—white sunnies are a great way to say hello to summer.
