Converse & DIY Stripes

Hey beauties! I hope all is well. I stepped out recently to see music artist Santigold in concert. If you’re a fan of artists whose music doesn’t fit in a particular genre—then Santigold could be your girl. I decided to pull this DIY number off the hangers and throw it on (literally). LOL. Ever had a blah moment where you could care less about appearance? Ha.Well—this was one of those moments. Just off the hanger, on to the body and out the door I went.
Outfit Details: Dress: DIY: Skirt: Self Drafted, Top: Vogue V8771 | Chucks: DSW | Hat: Fashion Fab Boutique | Bag: Michael Kors | Sunnies: Vintage
When I ordered this fabric online a few years ago; the description was a bit misleading. When I received it—-the jersey weight was a lot thinner than I had expected. I didn’t pay much for it so I decided to keep it. So this was the outcome—a two-piece comfy something…I like to refer to as ‘wild stripes’. I have a stash of unworn DIY projects (some fabulous, some terrible) that I plan on wearing at least once. Yup—even the terrible ones will make a debut. So stay tuned. I hope you beauties make it a fabulous week. Until next time….Be Bold. Be Fabulous. Be You!

  1. Yep you did that up and it looks great. Was it self designed or what pattern did you use? Inquiring minds would like to know (lol).

    1. Hey Faye…I can't believe I omitted that very important info. Skirt was self-drafted and for the top, I used vogue V8771 and altered the neckline to a boat neck. I hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by. xx
