Recipe: Blood Orange Martini

Blood Orange Grand Manier Cocktail Recipe

Fact. Blood oranges contain way more vitamin c than other type of oranges. A natural mutation of the orange, it is know as a hybrid pomelo and the tangerine. The Italians love them. But you can also find them right here in the USA. Harvested in Texas from December to March, and from November to May in California these seasonal treats can sometimes be tart or sweet. But for today’s recipe, it really doesn’t matter because when mixed with Grand Marnier–it calls for the perfect cocktail. Here is one of my favorite cocktail recipes: Blood Orange Grand Manier Cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 4fl oz | 1/2 cup freshly squeezed blood orange juice
  • 2.7fl oz | 1/3 cup Grand Marnier
  • 2fl oz | 1/4 cup champagne
  • Blood orange slices to garnish
  • Ice Cubes

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients to your cocktail shaker together with a large handful of ice. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
  2. Strain the cocktail from cocktail shaker into martini glass. Garnish with a thin slice of blood orange.
  3. Enjoy
