I had the opportunity to stop in at one of Kansas City’s hot spots: Jax Fish House Kansas City—a local favorite. What initially drew me to the establishment? Oysters. Albeit—-Kansas City isn’t the first place that comes to mind when I think of fresh seafood. But I went for it. Because that’s what true foodies do, right? Located in the Country Club Plaza neighborhood— with limited street parking, parking in the adjacent parking garage will be your best bet. The chic and stylish interior coupled with the sophisticated cocktail selection makes this spot a popular destination for the young, chic and professional. I visited during happy hour and tried a couple of their appetizers—which were good. The cocktails were great! I’ll have to return and give a few entrées a try. So as it stands, the verdict is still out.
