Fab Eats: Char Bar . Kansas City

Hey Beauties,
I hope all is well. I’ve been a traveling road warrior lately. I had the opportunity to make a stop through Kansas City and decided to try a little KC Bar-B-Que. I’m funny about my Bar-B-Que so I initially went into the experience with some bias. LOL. Needless to say—-I loved this spot so much, I visited twice during my trip. Okay—-so where do I begin? Let’s start with the rosemary-infused lemonade. Again—-I was a little suspect. But to my surprise this unique and refreshing beverage was pretty good. If you’re not the carbonated drink kinda person then this may not be your cup of lemonade. So let’s move on to the food. OMG—the chicken wings. The damn wings. I’d like to say that they were the absolute best that I’ve every had. And I mean it.

Baked to perfection with a bit of a crisp—then drizzled with a touch of their signature bbq sauce, then served with a side of buttlemilk-chive dressing. All they had to say was chive and I was sold. I love all things chive. The standard meat servings were exceptional as well. From burnt ends (flavorful pieces of meat cut from the point half of a smoked brisket) to ribs…yum! Then there were the cornbread muffins. Lawd! Served with chive butter, jalapeño jam and Tabasco honey. Killer!

You simply can’t go wrong with anything on the menu especially if you have adventurous taste buds. It’s been quite a while since I’ve visited a restaurant that delivered pure culinary excellence in practically every single way. Char Bar is a winner.
